Did you know that sailors can only carry round-ended knives on board 18th century ships? Since fights were too common in these confined spaces, the sailors had to break the tip of the blade of their knife, giving this rounded side. Only these knives were allowed to avoid any risk of injury in case of a brawl.
Our pocket knife pays tribute to the London shape thanks to its round end-of-blade configuration, also known as the “Wide Chin Stylus”. The blade in sheep’s foot widens towards the tip, then folds forward to give a straight edge!
It is therefore a very authentic folding knife that we propose, imprinted with history by its blade. Its handle is made of steel, carbon or teck to enhance its original design and bring character.
For steel or teck models, a cord can be hung at the end of the handle. Convenient to hang the knife and keep it handy! This discreet tool can also easily fit into a bag or jeans pocket, or hang on a shirt pocket with its pin.
Do not hesitate to consult our range of pocket knives to complete your purchase. This 100% made in France product was implemented in the workshops of the Claude Dozorme cutlery, handcrafted and in the purest cutlery tradition.
This original knife with the historical shape is a 100% French creation, sold by La Grande Coutellerie and made in the Claude Dozorme workshops.
Designed from a very high quality steel (X50CrMoV15), different elements make it a quality knife :
Carbon 0.50 gives edge to the blade
Its level of 0.15 chromium gives stainless steel
Its levels of 1% molybdenum and vanadium give flexibility to facilitate re-sharpening
The protection of the wire of its blade is made by its side. Very practical, it will be able to hold your tickets thanks to a rear clip that turns into a clip. This product is delivered on an explanatory map.
