The carving knife and fork were forged in a very high quality steel X50CrMoV15. Here is its composition:
0.50 carbon for blade cutting edge
0.15 chromium making these accessories stainless
1% molybdenum and vanadium for flexibility and easy re-sharpening
The blade offers a smooth cutting edge that does not tear the meat. The razor sharpening gives a very good cutting hold and excellent cutting edge.
The handle is made of olive wood, maintained by stainless steel nails. This service is delivered in a beech wood box.
