The Laguiole steak knife will be perfect for setting up beautiful harmonious and elegant tables.
The Laguiole knife, famous for its curved shape and for the bee that adorns the bolster in the extension of the spring, is native to the small village of Laguiole, in Aveyron. This knife was originally a folding knife. The cutlery Claude Dozorme was the first to decline from pocket knife to table knife.
The Laguiole Steak Knife has a very high quality steel blade X50CrMoV15, which gives the knife an excellent cutting edge, a very good wire holding and an easy resharpening of the blades. The smooth blade makes it easy to cut the meat without tearing it.
In order to perfect the dressing of your party table, you can also complete your collection with forks from the same range. To do this, we propose you to discover our wood boxes of 12 pieces (6 knives and 6 forks) ready to use.
This classic table knife has a mixed wood handle. In the box, we find 6 different woods : ebony wood, palo santos, olive wood, rosewood, bubinga and juniper wood. They are delivered in a 6 places oak wood box.
Our Laguiole table knives are entirely made in the workshops of the Claude Dozorme cutlery, in Thiers, the French capital of cutlery. Behind each knife, there is the manual and artisanal work of a skilled craftsman.
The blade of this Laguiole knife goes to the end of the handle, which guarantees it an extreme solidity.
The blade is made of X50CrMoV15 steel, it consists of:
- 0.50 carbon, which gives the blade an excellent cutting edge and a clean cut,
- 0,15 of chromium, for stainless steel,
- 1% molybdenum and vanadium, which gives flexibility to the blade and thus allows easy re-resharpening
The knife has a matt stainless steel bolster, which gives weight to the knife. The knife then offers an excellent grip.
The guillochage of the blade, as well as all the stages of making the knife, are entirely handmade in the workshops of the Claude Dozorme cutlery, by our skilled and passionate craftsmen, trained in traditional and artisanal methods.
