Wood box of Laguiole salmon knife brass bolster
Salmon is a delicate fish that must be handled with the utmost care before being eaten. To help you prepare your salmon, we offer you our Laguiole salmon knife.
This knife has a very long flexible and rounded blade. Thanks to its special shape, the blade of this salmon knife will fit easily between the salmon flesh and the skin, allowing to remove the salmon skin while keeping the flesh intact.
The handle of this Laguiole knife for fish comes in several models: exotic wood, light horn, natural nacrin and flake resin. Each model has a brass bolster.
The blade of this knife is made of very high quality steel X50CrMoV15, a very sharp and easily resharpable stainless steel.
This kitchen accessory is entirely made in Thiers, the French capital of cutlery, in the workshops of Master Craftman and Cutler Claude Dozorme.
The steel used in the manufacture of this salmon knife is a very high quality X50CrMoV15 steel, which consists of:
- 0.50 of carbon giving the edge
- 0.15 of chromium making stainless steel
- 1% of molybdenum and vanadium which makes the blade flexible.
All our artisanal products are made in France. Each stage of production, from the design of the model to its assembly, is carried out in our workshop Claude Dozorme, by craftsmen trained in traditional and artisanal manufacturing methods.
